I need some help with a credit card garnishment issue?

asked:

About two weeks ago I went to court and got a credit card judgment vacated. My problem is that my company has not received anything from the court releasing me and they are still deducting wages, in spite of the judgment being vacated. My question is how come this process is taking so long and can I recover these wages?

Anyone who has advice, please pass it on!

Many thanks!

Since it’s a legal matter you need to forward a copy of the the court’s decision directly to the CC company’s legal department via certified mail. Make sure you include a cover sheet indicating that you have won an injunction of the garnishment and it should cease upon the date the letter is received. If no action is taken on their part you can and should have an attorney intervene. They can be prosecuted for failing to honor the court’s decision. Also inform you payroll department and provide them a copy as well.

You may need an attorney. Sending copies of the vacated judgment to your employer won’t help. Your employer has a court order to hold those funds. You have to get that court order reversed.

You may have to actually sue the judgment holder to get your money back.
