Is there a way to give out fake credit card numbers to catch spammers?

Carlos F asked:
Spammers have asked me for info. Sure, I’m not stupid enough to give it to them, but I know some people don’t know much about fraud and will give it out anyways. Is there a fake C-card number that will help authorities identify and lock these people up? If so, where could I get one?

Create a video blog…instantly.
Firstly you can ignore those who say it is not possible, it is but unless you are an expert I would strongly recommend that you don’t go there. There are websites such as and which will tell you more about it. There are people who are doing what you suggest but remember this, some spammers, and those who are running lottery scams are quite often organised criminal gangs. Unless you are absolutely sure that you can cover your tracks completely don’t mess with them. Leave it to the experts.
